Elastocon presents the latest generation of ageing ovens for the precision ageing of polymer materials. We have produced and developed cell ovens and ageing cabinets since 1987. Benefitting from this long experience our ovens represent a major step forward in the design of such instruments.
Manufactured in 4 or 6 cell configurations, the cell ovens are available with multiple (individual) cell controllers and with a temperature range of +40 °C to +200 °C, or +40 °C to +300 °C.
Our cabinet ageing ovens are made with 50, 60 or 120 litres useful volume and with a temperature range of +40 °C to +200 °C, or +40 °C to +300 °C.
The cabinet ovens meet most ISO and ASTM standards for testing rubber and plastic materials. The ovens can be supplied with low air speed, high laminar or turbulent air speed and with a carousel.
Our ageing ovens have the following features:
- The ovens perform well inside the apparatus requirements in referenced standards.
- Settings are done on a colour touch screen.
- Micro PLC control.
- Temperature controller with 0,1 °C setpoint (PLC).
- Temperature indicator with sensor in each cell or inner chamber.
- Special design with controlled air exchange rate and low or high air speed.
- Improved insulation reduces energy consumption, environmental impact and cost.
- Cooling channels in the casing for low surface temperature.
- Resettable countdown timer for each cell or oven.
- Test names can be given in the PLC.
- Alarm history.
Two temperature sensors are used, one for temperature control and one for measuring the temperature close to the samples. This sensor can also be connected to a logging software.
